this is her ~ empowering boudoir photography victoria bc

And I'm marching on to the beat I drum
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apologies, this is me

I had the pleasure of working with this amazing woman as part of my BOGO offer. Her and her bestie came in for their sessions and we had such an amazing time together pampering them, and then getting the chance to make them feel like badass empowered babes in front of the camera!

I really just wanted to have a day where I could get dolled up and have some sexy pictures taken. My friend Jen had participated in Molly’s Babe’s Day out and told me about the experience. We had talked about how fun it would be to do a one-on-one shoot together. When the BOGO deal came up, we knew it was the perfect opportunity.

I felt excited and really loved the whole process of getting ready beforehand. Molly and her [make-up artist] made us feel right at home. It honestly just felt like another day with the girls. Molly even cooked me some eggs when I was hungry.

I was really happy afterwards and continued to feel the excitement. Instead of for the shoot itself, now it was for getting to see the pictures that were taken. The process itself was so much fun and I was comfortable the entire time.

It was everything you'd want in a self-love day. You get pampered with hair and makeup, get to put on a sexy outfit and have beautiful pictures taken of you. It's the closest I've ever felt to being a model for a day haha!

I'm still in awe of how amazing Molly is able to make everyone look flawless. Even more than that though, it was an amazing bonding experience with one of my closest friends. Getting to work with Molly and her friends was such a privilege too. I'm glad to officially be a part of the badass, ferociously self-loving and empowered community they have created.

Loving Yourself Is The Greatest Revolution ~ Victoria BC Boudoir Photography

I had the honour of working with this babe for part of my BOGO deal I ran back for Cyber Monday (whoa - feels like eons ago!) I loved getting to know her, and her babely bestie, and spend our days in my favourite way: pampering the shit out of them both!

The BOGO sesh's were great because we spent a little more time in the hair and makeup portion (two babes, two times the glam!), and it meant we got spend more time together talking, getting to know each other, and talking about how badass women are.

When this babe came out in her first outfit I'm pretty sure my jaw hit the floor. She just looked so incredible! We had a lot of laughs and made some seriously sizzlin' images.

Oh! Did I mention what her email signature is? Because it definitely made me smile.

Without further ado... enjoy this session from this empowered and wonderful babe! Thank you for coming into the studio and trusting in me to capture these images of you, lovely. <3

The other side ~ Vancouver & Victoria Boudoir Photography

"You owe yourself the love you so freely give to other people."

I have been following this amazing woman's work online for quite some time. We both have been doing that internet-dance where you follow each others pages, like the others posts, comment on each others posts, etc. I sent her a message a couple months ago asking the big question... "want to work together... irl?!"  But alas the universe kept throwing us curve balls and we had to keep pushing back the date. Until finally... a couple weeks ago I went over to Vancouver and the universe couldn't keep us apart this time. It was like a match made in heaven!

It was so much fun spending the day with someone who also uses their photographic artistry to help women feel empowered and beautiful. It is the ultimate gift to be able to give someone what they so often give to others. To turn the camera around and let them shine through the lens instead of just behind it (although she also shined behind it - she also did the same for me and took some photos of my booty!). We had a lot of fun trying new concepts, poses, and just drinking champagne and feeling fab! Without further ado, Delilah

I don't know what else I can say about this babe that I haven't already said before! I am so blessed to work with such a wonderfully talented (and just wonderful all-around person) on a regular basis. We have both grown so much as people and artists since our very first shoot so many moons ago... but the passion and fire ignited within those souls still remains the same. From two years ago sitting cross legged on my apartment floor, gushing about empowerment and feminism, swooning over the artistic and professional possibilities before us. Here is to strong women, women who inspire us... the connections that inspire us to never stop growing. Thank you for all that you do for me, babe. And for being such an incredible and awe-inspiring muse to capture. Here's to you sharing your light with me, my clients, and all the wonderful people that find their way into your magical salon chair. You bring light everywhere you go. <3

In Home Boudoir Session ~ Victoria BC

Whew! I'm a little behind on blog posts from 2017. I can't believe I haven't published this session yet! I worked with this amazing woman twice this year and each time was just so lovely. Our second session was intended to be an outdoor session - but the season had other plans for us. When I suggested we could do an in-home session it all just fell into place! I mean once you see her amazing apartment you'll understand why I suggested it.

It's so lovely to do a session in your own space. We spend a lot of time and energy into curating our spaces around us, in nesting into them. We should celebrate ourselves in those intimate and personal spaces as well. We are each unique, and the places we create around us to reflect us are entirely unique as well. And yeah - I make house calls! ;)

I am very excited to be sharing our second session together. I like to call the first session an "ice-breaker" session. We get to know each other, the initial anxiety and fear of boudoir dissipates, and then in the next session we know each other that much more and the trust is built for us to really create some beautiful imagery. That truly happened in this session. We had grown to know each other a little more, and we got right into it. I adore this woman. She is an introvert just like me - which makes it even more rewarding when that shyness cracks open and we can make bretahtaking and empowering art together. <3

Celebrating Your Love - Victoria BC Couples Boudoir

I am actually jumping in my seat with excitement that I get to share this session. Aaaaah!! I've worked with Sarah before on her own, and we had such a blast. When she reached out to me to do an anniversary session (15 years!!!) with her incredible partner Graeme I was over the moon. These two have grown so much together and the love that they have for one another is just breath-taking. Graeme was a little terrified of the idea of a boudoir shoot - but let's be honest 99.99% of my clients are. ;) Thankfully Sarah knew the ropes and knew that it isn't as terrifying as it seems at face value. It's actually hella fun! And guess what? WE HAD HELLA FUN! It was such a blast creating intimate and loving images that these two can cherish forever. <3

Content warning: this post contains two beautiful people being incredibly gorgeous, unashamedly themselves and in love, and is also hella steamy because they are mega babes. Proceed with unreserved excitement!
