GROUP SHOOT

YOU’RE INVITED

The intention behind this group shoot is to reconnect not just with our bodies, but with the earth, and with each other.

In a world that profits off the bodies of women, and the body of the earth— creating art of this nature is a small way we can reclaim our relationship with both.

We will gather together at an outdoor location on Vancouver Island, outside of Victoria (most likely Sooke area) which will be emailed to you prior to the event. There we will bare it all, frolic, and make art and memories together!

❋ Mini Session Also Included

Each ticket includes all edited group photos, AND a solo mini session of 10 minutes, with 2 of your favourite images (with the option to purchase more).

❋ Must Consent to Group Images Being Shared

The images from the group shoot portion will be featured in Moss Photography’s social media, and may be printed as part of an upcoming exhibition. By attending in this event you consent to the images being share!

❋ Your Body is Worthy!

For too long, art has left out representation. We encourage people of all shapes, sizes, ages, and backgrounds to participate. Let’s celebrate body diversity, as art history and culture has not.

❋ A Supportive Space

Our events prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process! Please let us know in the application if there is anyway we can better support you through this experience.

TAKING UP SPACE IN ART & NATURE

Let me paint a picture for you— you are surrounded by 20 other women, naked as the day you were born, laughing, sharing stories. You’ve all gathered outdoors to participate in this crazy event you saw posted online, or maybe your friend invited you. “Get naked with strangers, outside, in March!?” Sounds wild. It is. That’s the point.

Our culture likes to observe the perfectly pristine bodies of women in gilded frames in museums (most of which are painted by men btw), but when it comes to the actual bodies of real life women? We face violence, discrimination from society, harm from medical system, and so much more. This shoot asks us to show up and be seen in the frame as whole, as a collective, taking up spaces in our bodies, in art, and in nature.

Yes— it will feel scary! But if it feels like a good kind of nerves, the kind of pushing the edge that feels exciting, and like a YES— then this is for you.

Help me showcase more beautiful bodies in art, in nature, reclaiming our relationship with our bodies, and the planet.
