Every October I take a cohort of creative weirdos, of artists, photographeres, healers & feelers— and we go hide ourselves away in the rainforests of western Canada. 2025 was my second year running this retreat, and it was nothing short of magical. My attendees from the first year actually nicknamed this retreat “the magical as f*ck” retreat, because everything just kept lining up (almost eerily so - truly like the retreat itself had been blessed by something outside our control).

For 2025 we were in the same venue as the first year, the perfect backdrop for our creative itinerary. A carefully balanaced schedule of activities, workshops, creative shoot outs, and downtime to breathe and to integrate everything that comes up during the retreat.

The power of retreats never ceases to amaze me… it warps time, it creates incredible potency in how you show up for yourself, and your artistry. And it’s a beautiful way to hit pause on the crazy day-to-day so you can fill your own cup from a soul-deep level.

As creatives, we need downtime as equally as we need collaboration to thrive.

The art & soul retreat is my love letter to the photographer or creative who is tired of flying solo all the damn time. Who craves a sense of community, of shared values, of inspiration and collaboration— the rush of bouncing ideas off someone else who just gets it, and going further together. It’s also my love letter to the importance of breath, of resting, of making space and intention to do a soul deep-dive every once in a while. To take an internal temperature gauge of your dreams, your goals, your heart, and your soul. To grow a sustainable garden of new ideas and creativity by taking some time to stand still, and plant seeds.

the Art & Soul Retreat is a container for photographers and artists to come play, rest, learn, and expand into their favourite selves & highest business.

Group shoot out / creative time

All attendees are encouraged to get in front of the camera for one another during shoot outs, as this is an important part in leading by example for your clients.

Misty will also provide lighting that can be used whenever you feel called and want to do an impromptu shoot out with other attendees!
